Dubai Taxi honours winners of ‘Red Roof Taxicab Challenge’ context

​The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has recently honoured customers winning the Red Roof Taxicab Challenge Contest as part of Phase II of its comprehensive marketing campaign undertaken this year under the name: Tarweej (Promotion) in a bid to raise the caliber of services, enhance the operational efficiency, introduce DTC’s services, and improve the corporate image of the DTC among all spectrums of the community in keeping with the vision of : Pioneers in Passengers Transport Services.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by engineer Ahmed Khalfan Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Dubai Taxi Corporation; engineer Mansour Rahma Al Falasi, Director of Support & Resources; Mohammed Yousef Salih, Director of Fleet Operations; Marwan Othman, Director of Fleet Drivers Affairs; and Ms. Zakia Suhail Al Musharrakh, Manager of Marketing and Media.
“The nine winners have been picked up from customers of Dubai Taxi, after the campaign which lasted three months from January to March this year, who took a red / pink-roof taxis or VIP taxis, and entered in a draw for selecting the winners of an iPad every week. Participation is made available through the link (www.dtc.gov.ae/rtc) including questions focusing on general information about the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Taxi Corporation,” said Engineer Mansour Al Falasi.
“The campaign aims at spotlighting the red-roof taxi amongst other franchise company cabs operating beside DTC which are all supervised by RTA Public Transport Agency. It also included audio and written ads transmitted in a number of local radio, newspapers, magazines and websites in both Arabic & English languages about the red-roof taxi, in addition to broadcasts via social media, press releases, website updates and publications.
“The comprehensive promotional campaign, which started in the third quarter of last year, included a bundle comprising seven promotional programs about the traffic safety of taxicabs, promotion of the VIP Taxi services, Airport Taxi, Ladies Taxi, and the Hybrid taxicabs, running introductory and promotional material about the corporate identity of DTC’s cabs, and honouring the most loyal customers. The DTC has a fleet of more than 4249 cabs operating 24-hour a day lifting customers and the public to various locations across the nation. Customers can order these services through calling the Booking and Despatch Center via telephone number 04-2080808, hailing a taxicab from the street, or using a cab at taxi ranks of shopping centers in Dubai, hospitals, public parks, residential districts, and the metro stations among others,” he elaborated.
Al Falasi stressed that the DTC would continuously work on launching several initiatives & strategic projects, and implementing plans capable of leveraging the taxi center to the highest international levels in response to the rising numbers of riders including residents, visitors and tourists.
